Transportation

“Friends that travel together stay together.”

Good Samaritan School provides good transport facilities to its students to commute safely between home and school every day. Four buses are operated in four routes with a team of well experienced and trained drivers and conductors with valid license and badge. A lady attendant always accompanies the children till the last stop of the route. Attendance is taken regularly in the morning and evening to track the presence/absence of students.

All safety features are implemented in the buses as per the guidelines issued by the Directorate of Education.

Safety features include,

  • High definition CCTV Cameras
  • GPS monitoring System
  • Speed Governors with maximum speed limit of 40 km/h
  • ABC Fire Extinguishers – 5 kg capacity (ISI)
  • Doors with reliable locks and Emergency exit windows
  • First Aid Boxes
  • Drinking water

Apart from the above safety features, all the buses are well maintained on a regular basis and regular Fitness Certificates (FC), Pollution Under Control (PUC) Check, Valid Insurance, etc. are obtained on time.

Emergency contact numbers and other details are mentioned in the buses to ensure the safety of all the students. Details of the driver (name, address, license number, badge number), school contact number, transport department’s helpline number, vehicle registration number are displayed at prominent places inside and outside the buses. The drivers undergo medical and eye check-up every year to prove their physical fitness.

The drivers and conductors are instructed not to allow any outsider to board the school bus at any point of time while transporting the children to or from the school. A feedback is taken periodically from the students with regard to driver/conductor in the bus.

The students availing the school bus services are encouraged to follow the rules and regulations given to them from time to time. They should follow the prescribed code of conduct while traveling in the bus so that a friendly atmosphere is always created and maintained in the school bus.
